 This educational project is supported by the group exhibition en découdre presented by the Foundation from January 8th until February 21st, 2009.
 Conceived by textile, works by five artists will circulate from October to May in high schools and middle schools. This educational project is the 15th brought in the frame of a partnership between school and business, between the Rectorate of the academy of Toulouse and the Savings Bank of the Midi-Pyrenees. It has sprung to one of the expositions of the Fondation d’entreprise espace écureil’s programming, which invited the artist Jean-Michel Meurice from October 25, 2006 to January 13, 2007.
 
 The Fondation, in wanting to expose the best of contemporary paintings in the Midi-Pyrénées, invited Jean-Michel Meurice where one could see that the pictorial creation born in the 1970s with the Support-Surface movement seizes today, decorative and poetic contributions offered by landscape and architecture. At this occasion it doubles as a means of an educational project « between painting and cinema ». Its support of academic activities is brought in the frame of its educational service.
 
 It is also a large opening to the world who lives in the work of Jean-Michel Meurice. The educational project « between painting and cinema » invites one to discover a double work, that of the painter but also that of the photographer and of the filmmaker , for the artist is also the director of quests in the geopolitical world and its mechanism on our society as well as the author of films presenting portraits of artists.

This thirteenth pedagogical project born of the partnership that links the vice-Chancellor of the Toulouse Academy and the Caisse d'épargne Midi-Pyrénées is presented at its Fondation pour l'art contemporain.

This project combines and announces the summer exposition that will be both at the Place de Capitole gallery and at a rural space, the Fourquevaux lake. It presents the same 26 artists that have inspired the creations of the students being shown at the gallery.

Middle-school and high-school students from more than 60 establishments of the Academy approached the creation of contemporary art through the theme of territories and original works exposed on their own walls. Some were accompanied in their work by intervening artists.

However that which is shown in this exposition is not simply plagiarism, but a creative search where each person was draw into one's self and draw outwards, around one's self. Disciplines were mixed, people were met, students discovered and saw the world and its different territories in a new way. In the Territoires exposition, the students said and showed all of this without pretending to be artists; but in confronting their creative capacities, they revealed to us that sometimes we forget to look at things. a regional educational project

Learning by looking at a work, interrogating the art of yesterday and today.
 That is what the more than 50 establishments of the Toulouse academy that participated in the pedagogical project called Le Vitrail have done.

This thirteenth project is the fruit of a strong partnership between the school - under the impulsion of the vice-Chancellor - and the Fondation d'entreprise espace écureuil pour l?art contemporain - supported by the Caisse d'épargne Midi-Pyrénées.

The two partners, convinced that one does not only learn from books and in schools, have given students the chance to receive in their establishments an intinerant exposition on the theme of stained glass and also to visit the exposition installed at the Foundation in February and March 2005: L'atelier Jean-Dominique Fleury.

The students learned that the career of a master glass maker is complex and passionate, and that stained glass is not a dying artform that only exists in sacred places, but that it is at the heart of contemporary creation and that diving into culture through our common patrimony can be a pleasant experience. Driven by these examples, they discovered, sometimes with their families, long ignored windows in their environments and were ready continue on to find other marvels.

Today, to complete this action the Fondation d'entreprise espace écureuil welcomes the work of these students and exposes them at the Foundation as well as at the Centre Apollo in Mazamet in October and at the City Hall in Rodez in Novermber 2005.
